I'm an "Earth Systems" scientist -- with 40 years of experience studying the history of Earth, its atmosphere, oceans and the life on it. I've contributed to many aspects of its science: climate, paleo-, bio-, geo- and astro- and on that journey I've come to appreciate how awesomely speciai is the Earth, and our astonishing good fortune to be able to be here to appreciate it.
